Re: The Uncharted Movie Might Actually Be Happening, Tom Holland Plays Nathan Drake in December 2020

I also think this is how all the films/TV series that the new PlayStation productions are looking to make should be done. God of war, Rachet and Clank, Last of us and the rest, all the main characters should be CGI so they are who they should be. Games such as Death stranding could just use the actual actors who play the characters in the game, but I think you know where I'm going with all this!! 👍🏻👍🏻

Re: The Uncharted Movie Might Actually Be Happening, Tom Holland Plays Nathan Drake in December 2020

I think Holland could make a good, YOUNGER drake.

But, I also think they should just do a CGI Drake using all the latest graphics tech available and get North to do the voice work??? Everything else could be live action, much like all the new Disney live action remakes that are being done.

We all seen how good Naughty Dog got Drake looking in Uncharted 4, in real time aswell, so just imagine how good and realistic he could look using the latest pre-rendered tech!! Would everyone not be happy with that?? It would be the actual Drake we all know and love, looking better than we've ever seen him before and not just some stand in actor imitating someone we all know so we'll?? Makes alot of sense to me.

I just don't think it'll work, no matter who you got to play him, if it's not him?? Look at the outrage at the new Sonic film because Sonic didn't look like Sonic??? On the other hand, the Pokémon in the Detective Pikachu film look amazing and real life because they look how they should??

Just my thoughts!!!! 👍🏻👍🏻

Re: More PS4 Bargains Have Been Added to EU's Ace PlayStation Store Sale

chadders77

How do they expect people to buy games day 1 when exactly 1 month later they will be in a sale. Very pissed off The Last Guardian is in there after spending £50 on it only 30 days ago and after almost 10 year of development its in a sale. If it didn't sell to well and thats why they have reduced it then maybe it should have been released at this price point in the first place, complete joke. Also all the people who have got the PSVR for christmas would have just forked out on the games they wanted only for them to be reduced not 2 weeks later. Not a smart way to treat your customers this in my books?

Re: Talking Point: How Important Is Game Length?

chadders77

I think, as others have said, this isn't the right question to be asked, of this game at least.

I think more people are more concerned about the price of the game to the length of the game on offer.

If what I've read is correct and the game is as linear as mentioned, there doesn't seem to be much exploration to be done. I'm not talking side quests here, I'm talking about walking around looking at the environments/detail the developers have put into the game, going down alleys which don't lead anywhere, but are there none the less. I tend to play games like TLOU or uncharted like this looking for ammo and all that good stuff. I've not played the game so this is all guess work, but if there is any kind of Knights pendants to search for this could have made exploring the environments alittle more interesting.

Also, I have a bugging feeling this could be down to the lack of AAA PS4 games on offer. If the game had been held back to add extra content making the campaign longer it would not have looked good at all to us gamers. With many games from last year already being delayed for one reason or another, how could sony have possibly delayed this??

With more of us waiting to buy games preowned these days, I've done this myself as game are expensive this gen, it also give false numbers to the developers of who bought the game. If 10,000 copies are sold at launch, thats not good, but them 10,000 copies could potentially be played by 1,000,000 different gamers. These are the types of games we should all buy day one, giving the developers the full money the game deserves, in turn prompting the developers to make the next installment bigger/better. Double edge sword as if the games first installment isn't good, why buy??

Anyway, got my digital copy pre ordered for Friday and really looking forward to it after watching the first 2 parts of the youtube vid, bring it on!!!

Re: Want to Know What Your PS4 Can Do? The Order: 1886 Will Show You

chadders77

OK, so from what I can see the game looks like it will be worth purchasing. The one massive issue I have and maybe some others will, is that the game looks very dark, for good reasons i'm sure, to add to mood etc, but i'm wondering if this is going to be a problem on some LED TV's which use localized dimming.

I know mine does and it sucks huge balls at doing so?? I'm not ready to go and waste money on a new TV as my next one will be 4K, but i'm not going to pay the prices at the moment.

What do others think about this, maybe i'll have to play this via Remote Play!!

Re: Sony's Official Gold Wireless Stereo Headset Sends a Signal to PS4

chadders77

HOW HAS THIS TECH FOR THE CONNECTION OF THESE HEADPHONES NOT BEEN BUILT IN TO THE PS4. I mean really, they make such a great looking console and now want you to have a block of f-ing plastic sticking out the front of it???

What is the dongle and why can this not be achieved over bluetooth. Does the ps4 even have built in bluetooth? Bad really, really bad.

Re: Just How Well Does PlayStation Vita Remote Play Work?

chadders77

Hi people,

Ok, so I got my ps4 friday, i'm in the uk, and installed the update 1.51 so I could try RP and these are my initial thoughts.

Firstly, for those who don't have both consoles, the ps4 and vita, there are a couple of ways to connect the two.  Directly, console to console and over your wireless network.  If I understand it right, the later doesn't use your internet, just your router to send the signal.  Please correct me if this isn't the case.

I have virgin fibre BB, which give a speed of 120mb/s D/L and around 11mb/s upload using there superhub 1 with an added booster/extender upstairs.

Theres 2 settings in the ps4 settings menu for the vita, enable remote play and connect directly with the PS Vita. This is where my first problem lies as you are unable to change these settings while using RP???  The wireless signal on the superhub is rubbish which means I dont get a good signal upstairs in the bedroom without the booster and the ps4 direct connection signal strength/distance is even worse so being able to change these settings while using RP would mean I could use direct connect in the living room and be able to change to wifi when going to bed without having to mess around putting the downstairs tv on just to change the connection option.  Am I missing something here or is this a problem for others, please comment??

I have now decided to disable the direct connection option so I dont have to mess around changing between the 2 when going to bed, so bear this in mind.

The game im using is Knack on disc.

The picture quality is fine, I believe its compressed but I don't find this a problem what so ever when you have a good connection.

This is where my next issue is as the connection is so unstable the whole experience is up and down all the time. I don't know if this is just my experience or if this is a common issue but some feedback would be appropriated by other users. Dont get me wrong, I can use it but between stuttering, jumping and frames loss its very frustrating. The sound also seems to be behind the video, so you see someones mouth move before you hear them.

The video/story sections seem to be, on the whole, ok, buts the issues mainly are when playing. I read on some website that RP may use the PSN service in some way as people were having trouble using it when the network crashed, but im not convinced this is correct??

Infact when the network was down, I managed a full match of the fifa 14 demo with no issues??

I think in large, my experience could be down to the superhub wireless signal problems and I think im going to update my router to the new superhub 2, for £50 as an upgrade, as this is supposed to be much better for wifi, but I just wanted to share some thoughts and this wouldn't explain why this occurs when im sat right in front of the thing in the living room.

As it is, it works, but im just concerned this is how it will stay. I bought the vita as a stand alone console but also for RP with the ps3, which never really happened. Is this the way it will be with ps4 and its just another promise Sony can't deliver.

Looking forward to hearing other peoples experiences with RP and ill update when/if I update my router if the problems are solved.

Cheers!!

Re: Sony Enters the Micro-console Arena With PS Vita TV, The Smallest PlayStation Yet

chadders77

Ok, So, for people without a vita i can see this is a great product and its a good way of getting vita games into peoples hands to see what the vita is capable of, maybe leading onto these people buying a vita. I own a vita a love it, but why make me pay another £60ish or so in the uk to be able to play the games on the TV.
This can surely be done through the mystery port on the top of the vita by plugging in a cable, which i would pay £20 for. I think All vita owners should make a bigger fuss over us getting one of these cable released. do we know if anyone has ever looked into fabricating such a cable or is video out just not enabled through the port yet, if it can????
