There are plenty of things I'd love to see Atlus do, but here are a couple examples: If they want to do remakes, we DESPERATELY need 1 and 2 done. It seems a bit silly to me that they want to remake 4. And I'd be very annoyed if we get a remake of 5 before 1 and 2.. But we'll see. As for Persona 6, I know they wont do this, but I think it'd be really interesting if they tackled something like monotony. They often go for big, grand themes, not always hitting the mark..but trying. Persona 3 is the best example both with the theme chosen and the execution of that theme.. But imagine: You're not a high school student for once (oh my god can you imagine?!) and you're working an office job. Your day goes by normally. You may even say that every day feels the exact same. People seem faceless, the stress is high but you're too numb to care. The colors are dim. Many people feel this way, as if there's nothing to really look forward to.. And thats where the other theme comes in: contentedness. With this, you could have a time loop situation to play on the feeling of everything being the same, your fight is against feelings of lethargy and boredom, the triumphs would be centered on "the little things".. It may sound simple or maybe even dull, but with the Atlus team, Im sure they could make something like this fantastical. Honestly, anything other than another "you're a high school kid with powers" would be astounding. I wanna see depth and maturity....with a mature character. Give me a 30 year old who's single and bored with life. Give me someone who graduated college with no use for a degree. Give me a business owner who lost their way and their passion.. Then give me a cast of characters who go through the same challenges that people face, as adults, as ordinary people. A shadow can be "giving up", " the odds are against you", "dreams not forgotten, but dead because they can never come true". A mom who gave up a career, a sanitary worker who signed up because they know no one else wants to do that kind of work, a retail worker who had to start young to feed their family. Then broaden the scope: why are there so many of us who have to give up on our dreams? And.. Is there a way we can have it both ways?
