I enjoy what few games I want for the Vita. It is a sleek, powerful handheld. I just bought Conception II, and own Dragon's Crown and Y's Mark of Celceta. No other games I want for it but I am sure some new stuff will come down the pike.
I have a rule about buying consoles. I wont buy one unless 5 games are out for it that I want. It took til this February to finally get to that # on the PS3. I hope it doesn't take that long on PS4. Although I realyy dislike Sega, I know there will be some good RPG's eventually, and maybe a platformer that is actually good (sorry, Little Big Planet was one of my 5, and that was horrible).
Since I'm not a dudebro gamer, I must rely on Sony for my RPG's (console at least), and Nintendo for platformers and other unique style games. Thankfully, my 3DS gives me both in a portable package, and Vita may soon be relevant if enough RPG's come out. I see no reason at all to get an XB1, but I will start frequenting this site to get more info on what's coming down the pike. I will do my best to leave my Nintendo bias at the door so to speak.
Finally will buy only my 4th PS3 game in the 3 years I've owned it. and @rjejr I must say Ni No Kuni is outstanding and a can't miss for jrpg lovers and rpg lovers in general. This is coming from a guy who really dislikes Sony (yes I still own all the systems because there are still a few games I want to play on them, like this one). Seems like standard Tales fare but that isn't neccesarily a bad thing.
I see the Vita being a niche market for the most part. I guess the price thing is a issue, but the lack of games is astonishing. The memory cost is rediculous, and yes color options do matter. That is something that Nintendo has also not done well w/ the 3ds lines in my opinion.
No what has deterred me from buying the PS4 is 1. terrible customer service on (5) defective PS2's (3) PS3's (8?) PSP's. 2. $$ 3. Not safe for any account of mine to be on. 4. The fact I needed to replace all those systems. In fairness I have replaced my 360 more than any one Sony system. Never have had a Nintendo or Sega system go bad on me, and I played them the most.
