Nintendo: Will try to sue the pants off an indie game, have irrecoverably damaged preservation efforts to the point that I don't see any Switch 2 exclusive games being in any video game museum and remain the last standout on console exclusivity.
Sega: Accepted their loss with dignity, giving everyone every game they could and now are committed to releasing their titles on every platform, with as little exclusivity as possible, and have some pretty damn good relationships with their IP partners.
Glad to see this get a remaster. Yes, there's people who don't like it, and the protracted prologue is somewhat annoying, and I'd personally love to see Phantasia or Eternia get rereleased on something that's not portable.
Over the people who complain that the Grade Shop is unlocked immediately, They don't put a gun to your head and demand you use it. Several of the options are very much optional QoL, and those are up to you. All that unlocking it immediately means is that people who've beat it three or four (dozen) times before don't need to play it with no perks at all.
FC 25: "All the loot boxes are optional and we only need to worry about parents advising the children not to use them. So, no ratings issues." Balatro: "The heavily abridged Poker mechanics are far too accurate. This means that it contains actual gambling and means it's restricted to 18 or over..."
And next week, Microsoft will be required to put a warning label on Microsoft Solitaire since it has card game mechanics. For crying out loud, since when was real money gacha mechanics given a pass... while fake gambling is now restricted?!?

Re: Open Source PS2 Emulator Now Plays Almost Entire Console's Library
Final Fantasy XI is not playable on a genuine PS2, so that PCSX2 can't get into the game... That's not a bug.
