@B_Lindz my ps+ membership just so happened to end the month it increased. I resubscribed 12 months prior to get the Like A Dragon game that I wanted to try and honestly I don't think much better came out to tempt me back. Like you, I keep an eye on things I could be missing out on but so far I'm delighted to see things haven't really improved!
@gollumb82 My Playstation essential account expired a few months ago, just as the price increase came about. I have not missed it at all.
The way I see it is that I have accumulated a 100+ games over the years but only a dozen of them I will likely replay (if that!) But it's going to have to be a pretty decent discount price to lure me back and even IF I do, it will just be for a year to gain access to those games. It helps that I am not that interested in multiplayer games but if like me you have a ton of back log games, save your money. You won't really miss Playstation Essential.
