I'm still sad about the delay. This is the reason I adopted early this generation. What's worse is the release date happens to be a month after Elden Ring. I work so ill just really be getting into Elden Ring at that point. I guess backlogs are malignant by nature.
I agree with the poster which called out PS5 owners for thinking games should be exclusive to the new format. I got my PS5 in January along with a new display to enable 120 fps in future titles. I've spent a small fortune because it's my lone hobby, and I've been a gamer for 35 years. I'm grateful to have the setup I do, and don't think it entitles me above anyone else either.
Owning a PS5 shouldn't be making people feel entitled, or getting the attitude that last generation owners should receive less. PS4 owners should gave a chance to play these new exclusive, and third party games as well. Plenty of folks spent $300-$400 on a slim or pro in the past few years, and don't deserve to be denied new content after that investment. It was Hulst or Ryan one that said abandoning 115 million gamers is not good business. I whole heartedly agree with that statement. Eventually the games will become advanced to a point where it's no longer realistic to put them on PS4. However that time is definitely NOT right now.
I was super excited for this game leading up to release. Then I began to get a bad vibe from watching the previews. Told myself to wait incase it was subpar. However I never dreamed they'd release it in the form the last gen consoles got. Then they got shady only allowing the PC reviews to be seen.
Sadly any hope of this game being beloved has sailed into the sunset over the past 6 months. We are getting to a point where every next gen release will overshadow any improvements they make. I cannot wait until the Witcher PS5 version releases, but I think Cyberpunk is better off forgotten.
God of War helped define this generation for me. However Bloodborne is the entire reason I decided to keep my PS4. I can't explain in words how that game made me feel. I stopped 700+ hours later while farming blood rocks in the Chalice Dungeons. If we cannot have a proper sequel I pray that remaster is real. Fear The Old Blood
