Is the 3rd game, releasing this September in Japan, going to be the last game in the current arc? I've held off buying Daybreak so far, because I want to ensure the full arc comes to PS4 first.

Just a small correction to the article. The Wii and Wii U eShops were different. The Wii eShop closed in 2019 and the Wii U eShop closed last year.

I can't believe we've got to a point where changing a disc is too much hassle for some people.

It can't be installed without an internet connection. So I'm not even looking into it.

@LowDefAl I think you're confusing "subjectively" with "objectively" here. I love the Xbox controller's rolling d-pad. It reminds me of the d-pads on Sega Mega Drive and Saturn controllers. Makes playing something like the original Streets of Rage trilogy (especially 3) much better. The PS4's d-pad is pretty damn great too, mind you. It's just Nintendo's d-pads that are absolutely abysmal right now.

Don't buy anything from T2. They're a greedy, scumbag company who fire employees to maje their shareholders a quick buck, and treat players like utter garbage.

Is the physical version only for Switch?

The poll is too simplistic. It depends on genre, and how skilled I am at it. For example, I know I'd be awful at, and get frustrated by, FtomSoftware games, but I absolutely love Hollow Knight. It's a deliberately difficult game, however I'm much better at 2D Metroidvanias than parrying and blocking in 3D environments. So I can't really answer your poll.

That seems to be Sony's thing this generation. Make lots of hardware, but no software to support it.

Aside from Astro Bot, Sony simply aren't making unique, interesting games anymore. They closed down all the studios that did that.

Finally a great exclusive for PS5! Rescue Mission was wonderful. If I ever get a PS5, this is top of my to buy list.

Yep, firing employees, closing down studios, and jacking up prices will do that. I'm so happy for those shareholders.

@nomither6 It doesn't need to be a substitute for a console, because it is a console. A handheld one, granted. And you're right, without my PS4 I wouldn't enjoy gaming as much on just the Switch. Shame about the current boxes from Sony and Microsoft though.

I'm happy we've now got the entire main series on PS4! 9 mainline games, plus Isshin and the Judgment games. And 3 Shenmue games too! Incredible!

I'm sorry but this is the main reason I've lost interest in PlayStation this gen. They've closed down all their experimental studios. If it's not a big budget, movie-like, then Sony aren't interested. Another great studio gone that will be missed, just like Japan Studio. I won't be surprised if Media Molecule and Astro Studio follow soon.

Well I still haven't seen a single reason to buy a PS5, so it's been godawful as far as I'm concerned.

So how does a fix work without a patch? Does this game have an always online requirement?

$130 for a game that requires online. This'll go the same way as The Crew sooner or later. I've got better things to waste my money on, than games with planned obsolescence.

And people think full games still "only" cost $70. That was just another prices increase on top of multiple other price increases for worse quality.

And yet, they fired over 900 employees, and have no games.

I must be getting old. I haven't seen a single must-have exclusive game on the PS5 or Xbox Series. PlayStation has got rid of absolutely everything I loved about it. There's no Japan Studio or the like anymore. So I'm perfectly happy with my PS4. Games are getting more and more broken, expensive, scummy, and repetitive. Gamers just seem to argue about framerates and graphics, not quality of actual fun gameplay. There's nothing new. There's nothing interesting. And consoles are more expensive, and charge extra just to play online with friends. Honestly, I only see any point to buying occasional indies on PC, because consoles are offering nothing these days. Like I said, I must be getting old.

Yep. I'm a huge Streets of Rage fan, and was actually recently just wishing that someone would make good figures, but this ain't it. The sculpt looks pretty awful. If they did a full set then maybe I'd get them, but this Axel on his own looks very cheap, and not really like the character at all.

Good old PS4. No reason to move on to PS5. I've got games to play for years.

I just feel glad I've never played a Persona game before. The way Atlus are treated their fans is outright disgusting.

It's because
1. Gamers expect everything to be in 8K at 10000000fps, which is totally unnecessary, and
2. CEOs and shareholders are leeches, only interested in stealing as much money from the industry as possible.

It's heartbreaking reading the quote from one of the London Studios developers in that tweet. Forced to make live service crap due to misguided idiots at the top, but of course the lowly employees get axed when management realise they've f-ed up. Disgusting from Sony. They're slowly closing down every creative studio they had. Everything I loved about PlayStation is completely dead. And there's really no reason to stick around...
