The mode has been out for two years and it still only has two maps. Three challenge events were released to give out exclusive rewards and drive up support, BUT they haven't even bothered to run one of those in over a year. Bethesda's neglect did way more to damage that mode than anything else.
@spoonard Yep! Waiting 10 minutes just for a chance to earn 250 SCORE isn't worth the hassle.
@QualityGeezer No. I've been playing since launch on a Pro and I get a crash/freeze roughly every 2 hours of gameplay. The game also has a lot of loading issues. For example, I can have my guy sprint for 30 seconds and he'll often reach a spot before everything (textures, NPCs, world objects, etc) fully loads. It's great for running through locked doors and other barricades (I use this trick sometimes to get inside locked player camps) but not so great when you accidentally blunder into a group of enemies.
@DanM That's a popular misconception. Fallout 76 has NPCs; they're just limited to being robots or friendly monsters. So instead of a human NPC running up to you and asking you to help them deliver the mail, a damaged Mr. Messenger robot floats over instead and asks you to do the same thing. It mostly works, but based on Bethesda's track record, there's bound to be massive issues even if the PC test goes well.
