Fine by me. I love Gears of War but loathe the MP so this shouldn't be a problem for me. In fact it might make the trophy list more reasonable as a result. Those seriously achievements suck.

@charbtronic there are few that already exist. I use Grouvee to catalogue my games.

@mariomaster96 same for me too. I’d happily see solo and MP separated. Cannot stand online and have zero interest in it.

I’ve told myself that I won’t buy any games this year as I have more than enough in the library however this is one of the exceptions to that rule.

Would love to earn the platinum for all three but I do hope there’s no MP trophies. As much as I love the series I loathe the PvP MP.

I'll likely get it at a discounted price. I've played the FH games before and they are fun but can get repetitive quick and from memory the handling can be pretty frustrating at times. Feels like the cars are on ice. That being said, there's lots of cars, good graphics and its nice to just drive around aimlessly time to time. TDU Solar Crown being the dumpster fire it was means FH can fill that void.

Halo MCC and Gears though - That'll be day 1 as it will be historic day in gaming and despite playing them multiple times in my life I will gladly replay and attempt to plat.

I would be over the moon if Gears arrived on PS5. One of my all time favourite games. I’d love to go for the platinum for it too although I cross my fingers the Seriously 1.0 achievement is omitted.

$1.8 billion minimum on opening weekend alone. Its the most anticipated game in history. I’ll say it will lead the top 10 for several months too.

I bought Hot Pursuit Remastered last year but still I would consider it a good month even though its the only game of the three I would play.

I played this on the Switch way back in 2020. Pretty fun game, albeit at the time very bare bones. The toy store map in particular is a lot of fun. Have been hoping for a PlayStation port ever since they announced an Xbox port. Would happily buy it again

It will likely be Elden Ring despite it having already won. Even the Elden Ring fans over on their subreddit agree the DLC’s inclusion is wrong.

Rightfully so its getting flak. Elden Ring was considered at last year’s awards and won. DLC is not and should never be considered for GOTY. You cannot play it without first owning the base game and that base game will have been considered.

Pretty ridiculous decision and it cheapens these awards even further.

I'm generally in support of banning social media for under 16s. Studies have routinely found it has a negative impact on mental wellbeing. I think its fair its limited. After all tobacco, alcohol and gambling all have age limits because they are harmful. Why should social media be exempt? These things have been age restricted for ages yet no one cries draconia about them.

I wouldn't restrict online play entirely though. Instead make it the responsibility of Sony, MS, Nintendo and game devs in general to remove voice chat, text chat and general end to end communication on accounts belonging to under 16s. As a comment above me says, it wouldn't be hard to achieve. Ofcourse this will require parental controls and parents will be the ones who enable/disable these measures. But the point is setting up the measures is not hard and entirely feasible.

Regarding the measures being circumvented by a VPN I don't think its a worry on a large scale. Younger generations have grown up with tablets and smartphones and are used to a closed eco system which has resulted in a limited, bordering on technical ilterate, understanding of how to use one.

As a side note you also have the benefit of awful TikTok and YouTube personalities losing their audience and with it their ill-begotten income stream.

Obviously its not an easy or quick decision. There would be lots of bumps on the road. But at its core I support the restriction.

The patents they filed after Palworld had already been on sale? It may work in Japan as their patent laws are different but good luck in Europe and America.

A wild, crazy thought for Pokemon and Nintendo. Perhaps if they took their time and asked another team other than GameFreak to make a Pokemon game that is actually good and not a festering dog turd stuff like Palworld wouldn't get the traction it gets.

People are desperare for a good Pokemon game but Nintendo continues to spit on them.

FFS I bought Hot Wheels 2 from CEX a couple of weeks ago.

However had I not bought it I would have welcomed its inclusion on PS Essential so as far as I'm concerned its a decent month.

Mafia Old Country for me. I would say GTA VI but I remain of the opinion it will be delayed into 2026.

Its to do with Sony’s rule regarding trophies. Recently, with PS5 games, a launcher can only have one platinum. If its a collection of games on one launcher then its one platinum. It doesn’t seem to impact PS4 games though.

The issue could be avoided by getting rid of the shared launcher and having each game a unique launcher. However Activision has been obnoxious with how cod is played and launched for years now, well before Microsoft bought them.

@Atreus97 I feel the same. Don’t get me wrong I don’t dislike the game but I felt disappointed when playing the game. Too much of the same. I do regret spending £70 on it. Such a shame as I usually have nothing but praise for Insomniac games (maybe not FUSE though).

@Titntin has it been on sale yet in the UK? I can't seem to find a clear answer. I just want the dualsense. I'm in the queue on PS Direct and I see the Dualsense is unavailable on Amazon which seemingly suggests its sold out.

Once again Sony fails to notify customers in adequate time of pre-order times. Just like the PS5 release in 2020.

We’re never getting a worthy remaster like Resistance or killzone are we? Just pointless remasters of recent games that already look and run fine.

I was looking at the best selling consoles the other day. The series X/S has failed to overtake the Atari 2600. Its no wonder Xbox no longer publicise sales figures. There was a time when I was going to buy a series X but it has yet to give me a good enough reason (I don't like Game Pass). Perhaps Gears of War E Day will give me reason.

I will get the dualsense as I’ve been wanting one since it was shown at Jim Ryan’s retirement party… provided ofcourse scumbag scalpers don’t buy up all the stock.

Have feeling this game will end up on PS Plus Essential before long. I'm interested to play for Hot Fuzz alone but there's no way I'm paying full release price for this.

Secret Agent Clank is the only game I have never played in the R&C franchise. I don’t have Premium but I’ll certainly buy it.

Hate the fact that USD and GBP are the same. British consumers are shafted as a result. No disc drive so Sony can get a monopoly on the game market and the insulting sour cherry on top, no disc stand, not even a cheap plastic one. Hard pass. If this is a sneak peak and what PS6 will be then I think it will be time to finally call it quits with modern gaming.

Disappointing. I’m hoping the PS1 style dualsense is being released as part of the 30th anniversary celebrations so that will cost more now.. but why fool myself? It will be sold out from scalpers and resellers anyway.

All I’m hoping for is the PS1 style controller. I don’t usually buy controllers as they are expensive and few, for me, justify that cost but that original is a sure stand out.

I’d pay £50 at most for a new game now. I have paid £70 a select amount of times and been disappointed most times.

If games stopped releasing in a shambolic unfinished state, stopped penalising players for not buying the ultimate edition through ‘early access,’ got rid of micro transactions and battle passes then I’d accept a higher price.

Until the industry regains the quality it once had why should we pay more? Quite frankly its pretty outlandish to ask for more when they do the above.

@Beetlebum91 I agree with this. I like Crash Bandicoot and N.Sane was fun, as well as CTR but Crash 4 was just not enjoyable. It was obnoxiously difficult when compared to N.Sane. Crash games always had a healthy level of challenge to them but 4 disregarded that entirely and it doing so likely put off a good chunk of the casual audience. Not to mention Wumpa league being dead on arrival.
