I generally feel Plus is hit or miss, and this month was a miss.
When I was super young, I could beat E.T. pretty regularly. Honestly, if ET wound up a Vita IGC game, I'd be overjoyed for a couple of hours. Then not. But those two hours would feel great. I bought Desert Bus for my Android devices, too, but never actually beat that one.
My backlog doesn't mind that some months are passable.
For what it's worth to fellow Vita owners. At least in the US:
Grim Fandango's Vita release is also part of this, bringing us to three games. The Patton game looks like the Vita version, and not the older PSP version. So we're at three games, and one of them hopefully nicer than we might have first thought.
According to the Sony blog, Vita users will get a cross-buy benefit on Grim Fandango Remastered, bringing us up to three games.
There is a Vita version of the Patton game in the Playstation store, but ... we are getting the PSP version? I'll wait this out patiently. I guess, at worst, I can do a PS3 transfer to my PSP3000 and not use up expensive Vita memory. Or just play something else.
@Mega-Gazz To my knowledge, no. I don't see or hear about a lot of Atlus games in these offers, either. It's also been out for over 3 years, and is easy enough to find for $20 in the US.
I haven't played much Final Fantasy at all since VII came out. I did not like VII at all.
This looks like the classic high-magic fantasy than the kinds of games they've made since VII. I have a huge backlog on all my devices, but wouldn't feel unhappy at all if I wound up with this on the Vita.
@B3ND3R - I don't own a PS4 yet. I also love to play JRPGs on portable systems, where they can be played in more convenient times and places. The Vita is pure gold for that.
This turns out to be four new games for the Vita, doesn't it? I still play Canabalt on mine from time to time. Race the Sun might scratch that same itch when I just need something fun to do. I bought it on PC last year and enjoyed it. Murasaki Baby is a game I'd like to play if time and opportunity present themselves. Now I guess it's just time.
I've been getting more mileage out of my Vita lately. Granted, it hasn't been exclusives. It makes a great second/third controller in PS3 Spelunky games, for instance. The Vita-user is not tied to the rest of the party when doing multiplayer. Lots of Rogue Legacy when I'm not at home. There are more games I would play if I had both the time and the budget. It's a wonderful, beautiful machine. There are wonderful games for it. It's worth so much more love than it gets.
