Re: Microsoft Is Investigating Why Devs Are Prioritising PS5 Over Xbox

You gotta love the irony of some comments here. 😂

MS has always been terrible at PR. This applies to devs equally. As they recover from the disastrous XOne release, it will take time to gain back trust from smaller devs. The Series S, while making for excellent clickbait is not the problem.

Like many, I stuck around for the story arc ending. Now, I can't even be bothered to finish the season. More and more reused content sold as "new" seasons. (I know, lets make them glitter, no one will know. Lol) Honestly it feels like a money grab now.

I think many players are done with it. I fully expect cancellation, due to lack of players. It's too little too late. They've totally alienated the player base.

Start over with D3 and a demo of the significant changes up front. That's their only hope IMO. If it wasn't for the massive buyout I think Sony would already have closed the studio down.

As someone who has both, Xbox is not dying. Bless y'alls hearts. 😂

MS did blow it royally on the XOne release for sure. They lost a lot of market share and loyal gamers. Sony was wise to do an about face on the pS4 with many of the same restrictions removed at launch.

That said MS is making strides to get it all back. People are stuck on console sales as the metric and MS has moved past that. MS already loses money on console sales so focusing on games aka software is where it's at. GP is massive compared to PSN and their push to make more games available everywhere is winning people over. The rumored portable could also make some serious dents. You will continue to see fewer Xbox consoles sold, but that doesn't translate into the "brand dying."

One has to wonder if Sony is just resting on their laurels with all the hiccups on the PS5 release. The pre-order disaster, the follow pre-order disaster, pre-orders being canceled due to no supply, and now this. You'd think they would have learned from the XOne's terrible release that market share isn't a guarantee.
