"...somewhere between two of GeForce's latest graphical offerings: the RTX 2070 and the RTX 2080"
Author makes it sound like it is an NVIDIA graphics solution. It will be an AMD graphics solution probably a slightly modified NAVI--Ryzen 2 APU. It may use less electrical power, which, if true, should make it quieter as well. This is not all speculation. We know AMD will make the chip/chips. That was already relieved. Not a shock as they make the chips that power most of the consoles. The Nintendo Switch is the main one they don't power. They power just about everything else. The Nintendo Switch needed low power for cordless operation...so they used smartphone derived chips.
And if you are thinking Ray Tracing...there won't be any. AMD has no Ray Tracing, and may not for a while. Not that Ray tracing is the end all be all. Path tracing is the real deal. Don't know who will field that when and if that is ready in the near future. Ray tracing in NVIDIA is also quite limited...not nearly a full implementation. There is certainly room to one up them. It just is not likely to happen in the next 6 months or anything. I would guess it is at least 18 months away. I have AMD stock. But I try to be objective.
