Re: Microsoft Beats US Regulator FTC in Activision Blizzard Buyout Battle

Ouch, always thought when Microsoft entered the game industry, how long would it be before they got the cheque book out. It's been a good 20 years, the next will be interesting.

So the gloves will be off, who's next to be bought and by whom - Square Enix, Capcom, Sega, Konami, From Software, Take 2, EA, Ubisoft .

As for the 69 Billion to buy Activision, who's going to pay that back with only 25 million on game pass, that works out at 2,800 each without any interest on top!

Maybe this could double the subs to 50 million but you still need an extra 10 per month at least for the next 10 years, plus recover the cost of COD being free - now up an extra 15-20 per month ???

And another studio that has worked closely with sony since 2013, Destiny was unveiled first at the Playstation 4 announcement event, maybe a marketing tie-in at first.
This seems to fill a gap in there knowledge with FPS, plus they could organically grow another studio at Destiny for an exclusive or collaborations - Firesprite / Guerilla Games, VR knowlodge / AAA IP

Re: Scapes Will Return in Gran Turismo 7 on PS5, PS4

I've played all the GT games since the beginning except for GT Sport as I waited a year for the offline content to be added, and that's my biggest fear with the next instalment – GT7.

It is Kaz's vision/direction for how the series goes but so far he's talked about car collecting, livery editor and photography – scapes and I'm just wondering if they have got round to trying to improve the AI and thinking about the single player content - Motorsport, racing cars with a similar performance around a track.

So far the best in the series has been GT4 and since then just hit and miss. How difficult would it be to purchase any car and have up to 3 races that you could enter and lose/win fairly against a decent AI, and on upgrading the car spec a few more.

Up to and including GT Sport the racing has always been chasing down the lead car which is always a second ahead of the rest of the field, with the others just cruising around and if you do get in front the game uses rubber banding to catch up. I remember one race I won in GT sport with one of the other cars lapping 2 seconds quicker than my fastest lap.

Re: PlayStation Studios Boss Suggests God of War Ragnarok, Gran Turismo 7 Are Also Coming to PS4

By next Mar Sony may have sold close to 30M PS5, depending on supply, does that leave 80M with a PS4 - still a big market and possibly if these 3 games - Horizon, GOW and GT can be upgraded for free another reason to purchase the PS5.

Thinking of GT it is possible to have 2 versions of the same game, the PS4 version uses the existing game engine GT Sport and PS5 runs on the new engine with updated physics - cars, track details can be scaled to fit the PS4.

As for the other 2, that's going to be interesting as we've only seen horizon shown for the PS5 and that doesn't look possible on PS4 - could you have the same open world, same story but different set pieces. Flying could be excusive to PS5 and not part of a story line, just another way of travelling around the world
