Crystal Dynamics were the creators of one of my favourite games, God of War. But, when I started playing the BETA for Marvel's Avengers. Honestly, I didn't feel like an avenger, I felt like a stupid little action figure, Hulk jumps like his got 50 ton weights on his feet, Iron Man literally flies as though his being held by a kid and I swear I could hear a child spitting Pew pew pew while I was blasting away. Thor was also disappointing but I couldn't actually put my finger down on that one, the best character I played as and quite enjoyed was Black Widow. Captain America eh.... I almost felt like I was God of War without a weapon, just my trusty shield, bang bang bang bang bang like a pinball machine. They all feel way too underpowered, I reckon this game would have been best as a huge open single player sandbox game with destructible buildings no health bars (except bosses) and just literally feel like a badass, flying at the speed of sound in your iron man suit like the old superman game. Jumping at insane height with hulk, running 40 mph with superhuman speed and strength of Captain America, and practically swinging around the a city with Kamala Kahn. Not going to lie, some of the powers in Marvel's Avengers were satisfying like the iconic hulk smash thing he did with Loki in the movies, just not my game. I'm sad now.
