@shinobi88 Yeah sure, Price is one of the determining factors if a device is successful or not. But Price is not the only factor. How do you explain Iphone, Ipods, and Ipads?? These device range from $250-$600 a pop and people still buy them. Some even have an Iphone, ipod, and Ipad. Some people even pay an addition $300 just to upgrade the Iphone from a Iphone4 to Iphone 4s. Whats the difference the "s". Not everything play by the rules, and gaming and next generation devices is one of the devices that does not play by the rules.
@Paranoimia I dont know if "dumbing down" is the correct term used. Xbox first party games are not stellar when compared to PS3 but they are good in their own rights. It seems that they are moviing towards a different direction, let say a combination of the PS3 as in term of an all purpose device and the Wii as games that are aim towards casual gamers. Since the Kinect been release, it seems that Microsoft stop making games for hardcore gamers. A lot of their first party games are now incorporate the kinect and casual gamers. Which is a bummer in my opinion.
What interest me is their first party games. The reason why I got rid of my xbox360 is the lack of unique first party games. I love Halo, gears of war, and alan wake but the problem is that these titles are first person shooter or 3rd person shooters. For me game like God of War, Heavy rain, uncharted are different games for the PS3 and its refreshing.
@azikira but it easier to see humans kiling humans right? PETA can take their opinions and shove it where the sun dont shine. I'm an animal lover but PETA put the lives of animals before the lives of human and to me that is inhumane.
My PSN Plus pretty much paid for itself. I love the freebies and the discounted prices. Good move by sony to give user the options to get the PSN plus program.
I agree with them, The PS3 to me is like a high end car, expensive and not for everyone. But people who have it can enjoy what it have to offer that can not be found on any other. I use to think that Backward compatiblity was important to me for ps1 and PS2 games, but since owning the 60gb launch ps3, I think only used the backward compatibility 4 times. What excites me is that the potential the ps3 still have as a console and a multimedia device. Developers are just barely scratching the PS3 potential in terms of graphics.
I love games and DLC like this. the dlc contents are just so random and unexpected that it spikes my curiosity. These are some of the DLC that I wont be complaining about.
Why cant the transformers movie look something like this (of course with cg upgrade so they look real)? In the movies I cant even tell whiich decepticons is which, they all look the same. Transformers 4 should have the robots look more like their cartoon counterpart.
@LittleBigVita Wake you up from the dead?? Orbis does sounds more like a peripheral then a console but I guess time will tell. I hope the rumours are no true about game lock down and game access with only internet connection, because this will alienate lots of players.
Got my first PS3 on launch date 60gb backward compatible with PS1 and PS2 games. It got the YLOD but I was able to mod the PS3 with an internal Fan 2 years ago and it still running strong now. I had a Xbox360 and had to send it in twice due to the RROD. Xbox have a great online service but the variety exclusives are limited and not as inticing as the PS3. Now that I use Netflix and Hulu on my PS3, the free PSN service become more important. I dont want to pay twice to access my netflix with xbox live. I own a total of 3 ps3 (for each room) and my nintendo wii is now in the closet. Maybe after my kids are old enough, I can pull that out for them.
I'm a PSN+ member and only heard of this game when I saw it in the PSN store. Decided to download and played it for about 15mins. At first I didnt know what what to do and what the objective of the game was, then I saw another player and followed him/her. I tried my hardest to communicate with them but to no available, but as i follow him i've learn the objective of the game. I really got into it. The next thing i know, it was about an hour into the game i didnt want to put it down. I didnt want to lose the guy that I was following. It have an impact on how you interact and give you a sense that you're the only one in this world and he is your last friend.
