@Mickeymac Generic? I haven't seen half the monsters in Dragon's Dogma in Skyrim, Two Worlds, Dragon Age etc. Dragon's Dogma takes a lot of it's influences in terms of big monsters from Norse Mythology, something most Western RPGs actually don't. Whilst it does have the traditional goblins and dragons a like it's rare you see some of the monsters seen in Dragon's Dogma like Chimera's in open world western RPGs.
