At the moment it's giving me "stick a chick in it and make her gay" vibes so my interest is very low. Hoping once we see some gameplay it'll start to take shape and look interesting which I'm sure it will but time will tell.
Steam users aren't used to paying £70 for a game, even the latest and greatest so my guess is, like me they're all holding out for a decent sale and/or their obligatory steam voucher on their birthday from their uncle.
I'll be purchasing likely on their 2nd/3rd sale or so where it will hopefully come down to something closer to £40/£50 and will have had bug fixes and possibly some DLC. Imagine many other Steam users will be in the same boat.
Don't like the name, don't like the theme & style, don't feel the lead character is relatable to me personally (so far), wasn't a fan of the direction they took LOUP2. Not going to buy unless reviews tell me it's a must buy and it's highly acclaimed, I will then consider trying it if that's the case. End of story.
Fortunately my son is way more interested in his guitar and his bike than any gaming device, when he's ready I'll be teaching him to build a PC which will hopefully keep him away from the crack cocaine of the gaming industry (mobile gaming).
I'm on the fence watching season 2 based on season 1. Bad pacing, poor casting, inconsistent quality of acting, often a chore to watch, with the game I was so invested in Joel & Ellie, with season 1 I didn't even care about watching the next episode that much. It had some good moments and elements for sure but nothing the vastly superior Walking Dead did in it's early years. Go watch season 1/2/3 of that instead if you haven't seen it.
I guess the only real valid thing I can personally say is that these female leads are often quite ugly and masculine (not all of them I know), this character imo is not attractive and could be argued as a stereotypical girl boss looking character which can put off a lot of guys, there's nothing wrong (or right) with that but I'm not feeling the world either so far so currently I'm not likely to buy it, I'm happy to have my mind changed by ND as development progresses and that would be a great thing. If you're playing as the opposite sex in a game most people would prefer them to be attractive, games and movies are fantasy after all. For me I hold this opinion but it stops there, the issue is the internet allows people with a similar opinion but a more uncentred/trolling mindset to then go on some sort of war path often targeted at real people i.e. VA's which is just plain wrong and bordering on psychotic. They must not be very fulfilled in their lives, if we perhaps realise this a bit more and give these people less space/time/attention then we don't have to take them so seriously all the time, they are probably mostly very sad people after all likely many of which have some serious personal issues they need to work out, touch grass and all that. If the games does turn out to have extremely forced/crowbarred politics and agenda's in it whether left or right then vote with your wallet, don't buy it and move on with your life.
@Starkei Yeah I really thought compared to the game it was pretty boring and lacklustre and then comparing it to the earlier series of the walking dead it really did nothing for me, go watch that instead it's far superior. It's an ok show don't get me wrong but it's not worthy of the hype and praise it got imo.

Re: Talking Point: Is PlayStation Right in Saying PC Isn't a 'Major Risk' to Console Business?
I went from PS4 to PC instead of PS5 so it is something that does exist at least for this one soul.
