Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops 7's Single Player Campaign Is Being Torn Apart

IkeCrane

I can't say I am surprised by this outcome. Call of Duty lost it's way many years ago. I always felt the franchise would just fully shift to Online (which it essentially has) and forget campaign all together. Because right now they are only paying lip service to players who want a single player experience.

The Always Online component just proves how little they (and other developers) care about user experience. It is literally just tacked on so they can tick a box.

On a slightly unrelated note - it still perplexes me how these games can take up to 200GB of space! The lack of optimisation is as I say...perplexing!

Re: PS5 Fans Say Ghost of Yotei Plays Better, But Can't Match Ghost of Tsushima's Story or Hero

IkeCrane

@Oram77 100% with you on this. GoT is one of my most played titles and Yotei is frankly, just better.

I can't help feeling that Jin won for the wrong reasons because Atsu is a far more interesting character in my opinion. Jin was great but he was a bit dull when you compare him to Atsu.

It's subjective of course - because it depends on what style of character arc you prefer. The more revenge focussed of Atsu or the more composed and logical approach of Jin.

Re: Mortal Kombat Legacy Kollection PS5, PS4 Patch Reduces Input Lag After Some Fans Requested Refunds

@GirlVersusGame I feel like the new movies are trying a bit to hard to change things. Odd design choices - changing the iconic logo (wut?) and some of the costumes were very bulky looking.

MK 95 will always be the movie for me. I first watched it as a pirated VHS screener copy. The ones that would be sent out to media outlets for review. Had the timecode on it and everything...

The reaction to refunds perplexes me - regardless of the generation of the player. If they are dissatisfied with a product then they "should" be able to return it within a reasonable time frame. Even if the game worked perfectly - it's what would have done with a physical game back in the day.

@Scarface82G1 It's unlikely that they will have adjusted the Ai difficulty. However if the input lag has been fixed, that might allow for a more enjoyable experience. As you should be able to time your attack/defense more easily.

Re: Sony's Allowing Mortal Kombat Legacy Kollection Refunds Because the PS5, PS4 Compilation Is a 'Downright Nightmare' for Some

The difficulty of MK games has never bothered me - I first played MK1 on the genesis and the obesession started there.

That being said - the input lag on the PS5 does affect the enjoyment of the game. I bought it on Steam as well to see if there was a difference and it was night and day.

I am confused as to why Digital Eclipse didn't include any of the strings/combos in the move list. That feels like a feature that should not have been omitted.

From a personal nostalgia trip, I would have loved to see the Genesis (best) version of UMK3...the SNES version was the wrong one to include.
