Re: LittleBigPlanet PS Vita Recharges Its Powers with a Marvel Themed Re-Release

@get2sammyb If I were Sony and in light of Microsofts reported move for Minecraft, I'd be looking to get LBP on iOS and Android devices. Don't get me wrong I'm not for one minute suggesting Sackboy is on a level of Steve & Creeper.... we don't even watch children's tv in the morning anymore, it's the latest StampyLongHead Minecraft Lets Play video that they watch whilst eating breakfast but it is the one franchise Sony have that I feel still has the potential to massively expand it's popularity amongst 5 - 16 year olds, whilst like Minecraft having the depth to engage adults as well.
My boys (5 and 8) both love LBP and Sackboy. Toggle, Oddsock & Swoop have gone down very well also (admittedly they've grown up in a house of Playstation). How many years has it been since LBP2 though? In that time Minecraft, Skylanders, Disney Infinity and Lego have come around and followed up with new and engaging titles, updates or concepts.

Maybe the announced Run Sackboy Run mobile title is the first steps along this path?

Think the article is wrong. In the US, PS TV is $99.99 on its own and $139.99 bundled with Lego Movie and a DualShock 3.

Personally I doubt I'll pick this up, whether £85 or £100. And yet, if it included a DS4 and a couple of digital games or £10-20 PSN credit for only £40-50 over the price of the base unit, I probably would talk myself in to it!

At the moment I'm staying with the family at the 'would be mother-in-laws' and Remote Play via my Vita with my PS4 some 360 miles away has got me through every evening.... LoU:R Grounded New Game Plus specifically, so I'm sure it would work well on a second TV in the home.

It's not lazy. It is crap. Vita hardware just isn't selling enough and boxed software even less and I say that as someone who adores their Vita but manages in retail and has watched the numbers (of my store and company as a whole) reduce and reduce. Honestly I think only Minecraft can turn things around now, as far as maintaining a bricks & mortar presence goes. I so hope Sony can work with Mojang to create a bundle pack-in and then absolutely have to market the hell out of it - to the right demographic. Invizimals may well be a great game but I doubt it will sell consoles, even in mainland Europe were it enjoyed some success on PSP but as a follow up title to those that have rushed out to get Minecraft, it could be great.
