This entire charade has been disingenuous at best. Not only has it been an excuse to milk yet more money, but they've managed to accomplish making a full 'definitive' remake, despite insisting this was some sort of faithful remake of only the original; And the net result is they've managed to avoid including the female player character in a potentially final edition.
In other words, they've had their cake and eaten it too.
As someone who only ever played P3P, and as FEMC, I have no desire to purchase this product. It certainly isn't the 'definitive' edition in my eyes, it's still incomplete after all.
Hi3 has fantastic core gameplay and story/characters. It's a shame how obscure it is in comparison to its modern contemporaries. A playstation port would go a long way to helping that, and Part 2 is the perfect opportunity.
The gameplay itself is far more action orientated than say, Genshin. Which feels far simpler by comparison. Part 2 provides a similar exploration overworld to Star Rail. Here's hoping the game continues to improve.
