I've owned every Playstation since PSOne when it debuted. My current PS5 will be my last and I am not buying anything else on the platform going forward. It's just getting too pricey to game and if this is only going to get worse I fear. Thank God for Nintendo being cheaper so I can at least enjoy some gaming at a more reasonable price. I think the Switch 2 will do gangbusters now as I wasn't going to buy it but after this I am 100% in. Sony needs to carefully evaluate if they can survive only on heavy graphical games coming out every 5 yrs cause I don't think they can and the amount of people losing interest I see after this reveal should be eye opening for them. It was a great run but it had to end sometime. My PS5 will now be our Fortnite machine and where we just play our backcatalog.
I really don't play much Live Service games, but to get me to play as I do for Fortnite occasionally, the character designs need to be cool. I haven't cared for any of these characters and it cost $40, so I was out immediately. No hate here, just not my cup of tea.
In the end sales matter the most and Elden Ring is their best selling game and it attracted a lot of new folks. Making it a bit easier is fine, if you want it to be hard just don't turn in those buffs. Players of both calibers can enjoy the game this way and I see no issue with it. Games are meant to be fun anyhow. The Git Gud squad will never be satisfied so there's no point in catering to them anymore. Oh, and I've beaten every Souls game multiple times but I'd never advocate for harder games, a good challenge is fun, but brutal difficulty will never drive your sales.
@The_Pixel_King I've got around 600 hours into Elden Ring and let me offer some advice for a beginner player. There are videos on how to get quick levels that are super easy and I'd recommend them only as they just help to make the game more enjoyable since it is so open world. These are tricks either, but some very specific things you can do very early. I hope you enjoy it!

Re: Until Dawn PS5 Is Priced at $60 / £60
@Scottyy I am playing the remake of Last of us on PC and it's amazing and well worth the money. I don't own another PC game that looks as good even.
