Re: Guide: PS5 vs Xbox Series X - Tech Specs Comparison

Sony is so lame:

Backwards compatibility is a joke, so they got 100 PS4 games somewhat working for now. Also no older platforms from Sony's past is covered. So effing lazy and doing stuff half-a$$. Xbox-sx is 100% BC with XB one games and whatever 360 games that was BC on the XBO.

SSD dilemma:

1. A standard SSD would have been much cheaper and you could have sold the console for less, more affordable for us gamers.

2. In my opinion and of others I read this extra speedy SSD will only probably come to effect for exclusives/first party games only. Multi-platform game devs are not going to put the time in to try and shave off a couple of seconds etc..

3. 825GB will probably after format (if needed) and OS maybe 600GB if lucky.

4. It will cost a arm and leg to get bigger SSD, because this SSD is PCI4.0 type and from what I've read isn't even out yet. I just checked Newegg and they don't even sell this stuff yet cause it's so cutting edge. Do you imagine the cost of a 1TB probably cost almost as much as the the dam console. Right now on Amazon a 1TB Samsung 970 EVO Plus M.2 NVMe is $200 just to give you prospective. Sure you can use standard SSD but who's gonna want to mismatch diff type of SSD's. Plus that standard SSD has to be and I quote "Internal storage will still need to be certified as compatible by Sony" so are we really going to play this game ?

Here's a quote:

"There’s one big caveat, however: The PS5’s expansion bay won’t accept just any M.2 SSD. In order to ensure performance compatibility with the PS5’s high-speed SSD — and physical compatibility with the size of the expansion bay — Sony will be certifying individual M.2 SSDs for the PS5, which uses the new PCI Express 4.0 standard. Cerny said that it’s “likely” that certifications will begin arriving “a bit past” the console’s launch this fall."

PS5 is a joke and they are taking us for granted. Pretty sure I'm going with Xbox first this time.

To be fair XSX will have there's own type of SSD but at least they come in the 1TB size which I think is the bare min. I just think these MS SSD's will be more affordable plus it will work right out of the box and won't have to be certified by MS.

They originally said that it was going be backwards compatible. Now it's 100 a hundred games, what a effing joke. I told everybody two weeks ago that their lazy and they weren't going to do the right thing. They also said that will continue working too make more game BC, do not hold your breath for that one. Their so dam lazy their taking fans for granted.
