Re: Last Year, the UK's Gaming Purchases Were 85 Per Cent Digital

AndyWK

I am a happy owner of a full digital ps5.

Several factors went into my decision of dropping the disc: I missed last gen completely and ps store prices on old titles are stupid low, I rarely buy day ones maybe once a year or so and I don't mind waiting for digital sales, lots of games I play are digital only, ps+ is the best thing ever, I like the idea of reselling but I never do, the digital looks so much better than the lumpy disc version, that eject button is SO FAR from the sofa!!!

Having the choice is good, but it wasn't worth 100£ for me.

Also, I don't buy into the argument that you don't actually own the title. If sony entertainment goes bust and they shut the servers A) I'll still have the titles on a hard drive, B) kiss goodbye your loved ones, because the world is about to end.

If they were buying Playstations from sony directly for - say - 400£ and reselling them for 450, then his argument would make sense.

BUT WAIT! Shops are already doing that!

They are the middle men for a job they invented to screw normal people up.
They are thieves.
They should all burn in hell.

If I didn't get a playstation 5 in the first wave - thanks to curry's that employed a queiung system that actually worked - I would be going full Jack Bauer on them.
