Sony’s been a big believer in Oddworld: Soulstorm, showcasing the Oddworld: Abe’s Exodus remake on multiple occasions. And now the title appears to have a release window: Spring 2021 on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. Oddworld Inhabitants confirmed the date as part of an all-new trailer at The Game Awards overnight, which we’ve embedded above.

The press release reveals that the title will evolve the platform genre “by adding RPG-lite elements with player agency” and adds that the cinematic side-scrolling presentation will allow you to “explore by going into the world”. Sounds like a relatively ambitious project with sky-high production values, but are you interested in more Oddworld at this point?
