@naruball I wouldn't be so sure, according to Sony's Q2 2023 earnings report we know that God of War 2018 sold 23 million units on PS4 alone by Jan 2022 as they didn't put an asterisk to indicate it included PC sales. Spiderman 2018, the PS5 remaster & Miles Morales PS4 + PS5 combined sold 33 million units by May 2022. It seems God of War had better legs, unless the PS5 remaster & Mile Morales performed very poorly, which I doubt.
We know God of War: Ragnarök significantly outperformed God of War 2018, the former hit 11m in 75 days, latter took just over a year to hit 10m. I imagine GoW:R is still going strong and when it gets a permanent price drop it will continue selling well for years just like GoW 2018 did and still is.
And yeah when SM2 released the install base was 100% bigger than when GoW:R released yet it only sold 8% more which means it had a significantly lower attach ratio. Also GoW:R could have even beat it despite this if it didn't lose sales to people purchasing the PS4 sku.
