News Persona Sales Report Confirms North America as Series' Biggest Market
Times have changed
Thanks a new sales report from SEGA, we now have renewed insight into how popular the Persona series is on a global scale. As covered by Persona Central, the publisher's actually broken down the percentage of sales — across all Persona games — per region, and the data makes for an interesting conversation. As it stands,...
Showtime
Atlus has just announced Persona Super Live 2027. It's dated for the 19th March, running until the 21st, taking place in Yokohama, Japan. This is fairly big news because there hasn't been a Persona Super Live since 2022. And if you hadn't already noticed, it's happening about a month after the release of Persona 4 Revival, which comes out...
News Persona 4 Revival Seems to Add a Whole New Social Link
Special delivery
Over the weekend, Atlus dropped a second deep dive video for Persona 4 Revival — and it actually served up a pretty big surprise. As it turns out, the upcoming remake will boast a brand new social link — a character who the protagonist can forge a bond with through repeated interactions. Said character is Aika Nakamura, the...
Poll 10 Years Later, Is Persona 5 a True JRPG Masterpiece?
Take your heart
10 years ago tomorrow (technically today in Japan), on the 15th September 2016, Persona 5 was first unleashed upon the world. At the time, I don't think anyone quite knew how big of an impact the game would have. Persona 3 and Persona 4 had propelled Atlus' series beyond its Shin Megami Tensei niche, but their successor would go on...
News 'It's Like Cultural Preservation': Persona Producer Mentions Persona 1 and 2 Remakes Yet Again
Back to school
At this point Atlus might as well just officially announce that remakes or remasters of the original Persona and Persona 2 are in the pipeline, because series producer Kazuhisa Wada apparently can't stop acknowledging them. This time, the talkative boss didn't even have to be asked about them directly. In an interview with
News Persona 4 Revival Doesn't Add Gay Romance, Despite Fan Demand
Yo-Yosuke
Some fans of Persona 4 have been pushing a Yosuke romance route for decades, but Atlus' series continues to shy away from including gay relationships. For many, upcoming remake Persona 4 Revival presented the perfect opportunity: the Japanese developer could acknowledge the demand for gay romance by finally allowing players to confess...
News Persona 4 Revival's Story Trailer Is Packing Loads of New Footage
Don't change the channel
Does it feel like Atlus and SEGA started the marketing for Persona 4 Revival way too early to anyone else? The remake's still six months away and we've been battered with every kind of trailer you can imagine. And today, it's time for a fresh look at the story. Those who have played Persona 4 Golden will already know the...
News 'I Think We Have to Do It': Persona 1 and 2 Remakes Sound More Likely Than Ever
A tease from Wada himself
Over the last decade or so, Persona has exploded in terms of popularity. But like any longstanding series, this means that its oldest entries often get overlooked, or outright forgotten. This has definitely been the case with the original Persona and Persona 2, both of which have been abandoned while developer Atlus does...
Reach out to the truth
We already know that Persona 4 Revival won't be making any sweeping changes to the original game's story, but it does sound like certain scenes and dialogue will be altered — at least to some small extent. Most notably, the remake will adjust the behaviour of main party member Yosuke Hanamura, as confirmed by producer...
News There's a Reason Persona 4 Revival's Animated Cutscenes Look So Good
These things MAPPA
We've only seen glimpses of them, but the animated cutscenes in Persona 4 Revival look really high quality — and it turns out there's a good reason for that. Developer Atlus has confirmed that the scenes are crafted by MAPPA, the popular Japanese studio behind anime adaptations like Jujutsu Kaisen, Chainsaw Man, the second...
News SEGA Expects 5 Million Sales from 'Flagship' Games Persona 4 Revival and Stranger Than Heaven
A big 2026
SEGA has high sales expectations for both Persona 4 Revival and Stranger Than Heaven, which may seem a little unrealistic depending on your point of view. In its latest business Q&A, the publisher highlighted the two aforementioned titles as "flagship" or "mainstay" releases. These are basically SEGA's heavy hitters for the near future...
News Persona Is Reportedly the Latest Game Series to Be Adapted for TV
Midnight Channel
SEGA's beloved RPG series, Persona, appears to be next in line to be adapted for the small screen. According to a new report from Variety, a live-action TV show based on the franchise is in the works for Netflix. The publication's sources say Christopher Monfette has signed on as the writer and showrunner for the adaptation...

Atlus has showcased a hearty amount of brand new Persona 4 Revival gameplay, covering just about everything that fresh players may want to know. But what about those who have already spend god-knows-how-many-hours playing Persona 4 Golden? Well, the broadcast also sheds some light on things like combat system changes, and reworked...
Rumour Persona 6 Release Is Way Closer Than Most People Think
A huge 2027 for Atlus
When do you think Persona 6 will release? Next year? 2028? Even later than that? It's perhaps difficult to imagine that it's even remotely close, given the game's tiny teaser trailer. But I'm here to offer some hope. A seemingly innocuous post on Tumblr has been picked up by the rabid Persona fanbase, in which a video game...
News Persona 4 Fans Torn Over Remake's Totally New English Voice Cast
Now it's Persona-l
Many a Japanese RPG fan would argue that Persona 4, or more specifically, Persona 4 Golden, has one of the most iconic English dubs in the genre. It features performances that have helped define the characters themselves. Everyone who's played Golden in English knows Troy Baker's Kanji Tatsumi, Yuri Lowenthal's Yosuke Hanamura,...
News Don't Expect Persona 6 News Until P4 Revival Is Out
Wait your turn
As much as we might want to know more about Persona 6 following its teaser trailer yesterday, Atlus has suggested it's going to remain tight-lipped on the project until after Persona 4 Revival releases. P Studio director Kazuhisa Wada says as much in a press release sharing the latest surrounding the Persona series (via GamesRadar

Following on from its big re-reveal over the weekend, Persona 4 Revival will be returning to our screens in the very near future. Atlus has confirmed that a deep dive into the remake's story, characters, and gameplay systems will be broadcast next week, on Thursday the 18th June. For eager fans, this showcase should...
News Persona 6 Details Confirm Japanese School Setting, 'Supernatural Adventure', and 'Bold Story'
Unbreakable bonds are back
Additional details on Persona 6 have emerged via the game's listing on the Xbox store. Which is nice, because the game's teaser trailer basically told us nothing about anything. To be fair, the title's official description doesn't offer up any real surprises, but it does confirm a few things. For starters, Persona 6 is...
News Persona 6 Finally Announced for PS5 with a Surprisingly Dark Reveal
Hope you like logos
Persona 6 is real! But we knew that already. No, what I'm trying to say is that Persona 6 has been officially announced. Finally. It's crazy to think that Persona 5 originally launched almost a full decade ago. But don't get excited just yet; Atlus has given us a logo and not much else. The above teaser trailer sets an...

Persona 4 Revival has finally been given its re-reveal, courtesy of a brand new trailer.
