Remedy will add an infinite New Game+ option and a Photo Mode to Control Resonant in the coming months, the studio has confirmed today.

These additions form part of the team's post-launch plans now the PS5 sequel is out, as detailed in a blog post. There is no mention of any actual story expansions, though, which Remedy has done for a number of its previous titles.

Both the original Control and Alan Wake 2 received two DLC packs after their release, adding new story and missions to the games. However, Control Resonant has never offered an Expansion Pass to purchase, like the two aforementioned games did.

It's a possibility, then, that Control Resonant could be a one-and-done experience with no DLC to come.

Instead, Remedy aims to have the expanded New Game+ option out in October and then Photo Mode in November.

Control Resonant already has a New Game+ option, but this update will let you replay the campaign as much as you want. Right now, the current New Game+ setting stops you at the end of a second playthrough. The developer wants to get that update out next month.

In November, you'll be able to snap pretty screenshots in a Photo Mode. "We've seen the comments – we hear you, you want it, and we want to get it into your hands," Remedy said. It's been working on the Photo Mode for a while now, but it's not there at launch because the team was focusing on getting the actual game in "the best possible shape".

Yesterday, it pushed a PS5 patch live that lowered the difficulty by reducing enemy health and increasing the strength of your weapons. This was in response to player feedback.

We'll have to wait and see if Remedy does have any story expansion plans because, for now, it's not saying anything. Its previous games have received DLC drops, but there's no Expansion Pass for Control Resonant available.

Remedy signs off by promising more clothing and customisation options for Dylan: "You can look forward to more cosmetic pieces for our favorite former coma patient/prisoner/fashion icon in future updates – but more on that closer to the time."
