I know the combat, voice acting, graphics, mini games (yes really) and exploration will already be goated. The only thing they need to nail is the story/ending.

Having never played the original FF7, the remakes were actually my first time EVER playing any FF game, so this is going to be an immediate buy from me. Soooo stoked to see how the story concludes.

Glad it was a short trailer. Also dont know how I feel about the Weapons being turned into vehicle combat fights, I understand though because of the size of them

@SuperSilverback There was something deeply compelling about just fighting them on foot in the original FF7 though. Made no sense but... it just worked.

I guess that's the benefit of having turn-based battles. Obviously much harder to make it work with action combat, you'd just be staring at their feet the entire time.

The only solution I can think of is to have it so you fight them on some kind of platform, like when games have giant enemies fight you from the waist up.

@ShogunRok yeah I completely get it, attacking Diamond Weapons big toes wouldnt be that thrilling lol. Platforms wouldn't be much better, like you said it just made sense in the OG turn based game.

Instead of fighting the weapons via airship, they could have added a Giant spell which is opposite of Frog where your party would be big enough to go head to head with the planet protectors.

But that would be out of context and not in line with the original story which the remake trilogy immaculately preserved.

I'm not even gonna watch any trailer anymore. I want to go in knowing as little as possible.

Not watching any trailers. Day 1 buy for me. Loved Remake. Loved Rebirth.

@ShogunRok FFXV did pretty well with their secret boss fight against the adamantoise! 😂

But it was also an hour long battle (at least!) And Noctis could fly, so...
