Publisher Team 17 has just announced its next Worms game — the one that was leaked several months ago.
It's called Worms: Galactic Tactics, and it comes to PS5 in 2027. Check out a glimpse at gameplay in the debut trailer:
The game applies a sort of XCOM-like layer onto the Worms you know and love, presenting the action in isometric 3D.

Set in a sci-fi realm, environments are fully destructible and you upgrade your worms and their weaponry between stages, adding roguelike elements to the tactical fun.
On top of Galactic Tactics, Team 17 appears to also announce a second Worms game in development, currently just titled Worms. Presumably, this is a more traditional entry, but we don't know any details yet.

Glad we are finally getting a 3D Worms game, hoping they re-release or remaster Worms Ultimate Mayhem for current consoles and remaster Worms Forts as well or at least a re-release.
Love the 3D Worms games a lot more then the 2D ones
If it's like XCOM I want it
Hope it has a multiplayer, given it's Worms!
