Exodus, the Mass Effect-inspired sci-fi RPG that's looked really promising for a while, finally has a confirmed launch date.

It's dropping on PS5 next year, on the 7th April. This means that it's not quite buried within the madness of the February and March release schedule, but it'll still have plenty of competition.

You're probably sick of me comparing Exodus to Mass Effect, but that's really the easiest way to describe what it's going for. You play as a custom character — a ship captain — who can be coaxed towards being a nice guy or a... well, a bit of a bastard.

You'll gather a team of allies to take with you on missions, including Salt — an octopus that pilots a mech suit. She's the star of the new trailer, which you can watch above.
