Crimson Desert's only been out for five months, but it's already been handed an 'Enhanced' edition that's now available on PS5.

To be clear, this is basically a rebranding of the existing game. If you buy Crimson Desert from this point on, you get the Enhanced edition by default.

Meanwhile, those who already own the game simply update it to version 2.0 for free.

So what's the deal? Well, it packs all of the open world title's many patches into one release, while also throwing in a bunch of story-based improvements.

New scenes have been added, presumably in a bid to flesh out what can be a very muddled and oddly stunted narrative. It'd be one hell of an undertaking to replay such a massive game just to see these new moments, however.

Meanwhile, spoken language options have been expanded to include German, French, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, and Japanese voice work.
