Having been announced for PS5 earlier in the year, Warhammer 40,000: Speed Freeks has now locked down a 21st May release date.

This is a chaotic car combat game not too dissimilar from PlayStation's classic Twisted Metal series, so it might scratch that long-absent itch for some of you.

Speed Freeks has actually been available on PC since 2024, where it spent roughly nine months in early access before launching in full in May 2025. In that time, it racked up a slew of major updates, to the point where the game's got 'very positive' user ratings on Steam.

The bottom line here is that if you're on the market for eye-popping explosions involving 40K's iconic orks, then you can't go wrong.

The only caveat is that right now, Speed Freeks is purely a PvP experience. You can, however, sink hours upon hours of your time into a full map editor, creating insane arenas that can then be shared with other players.
