The iconic Silent Hill composer Akira Yamaoka will produce the soundtrack for the third entry in the Remothered series, it's been confirmed. Yamaoka spoke of the collaboration in the video above, which also includes clips from the PS5 title.

On the soundtrack, Yamaoka said in a press release he's tried to "create music that becomes one with the space, slowly seeping into the player and leaving a lasting, unexplainable feeling".

On the other end, Stormind Games sees the collaboration as a "turning point" for the Remothered franchise, as it tries to make a vision of elevating "narrative horror" a reality.

"Working with Akira Yamaoka represents a defining moment for Stormind Games and for the entire Remothered journey," said CEO Antonio Cannata. "His work has shaped the identity of survival horror, and we are proud that his vision will help define the sonic identity of Red Nun’s Legacy."

The third entry in the series, Red Nun's Legacy, is scheduled to launch on PS5 by the end of 2026. Up until now, the games haven't been very good, with the most recent one, Remothered: Broken Porcelain, scoring a 44 on Metacritic for the PS4 version. It suffered from significant performance issues at launch.
