Lo-fi games like World of Horror and Needy Streamer Overload have really grown in popularity over the past few years, and Save My Scrap looks like a haunting take on the booming genre.
This puzzle-based visual novel is based on a free game named Fix My Junk, but it’s a heavily expanded version confirmed for PS5.
It’ll release later this month, on 30th April, and focuses on the relationship between a client named Miomaru and an old, busted android named Harima.
As a mechanic, you’ll begin to fix the robot through a series of jigsaw-style puzzles, connecting up circuits, pipes, and cords. As you begin to repair Harima, you’ll gain access to her memories, and learn more about her relationship with Miomaru.

Like most visual novels, your decisions throughout the story will influence the kind of conversations you see and the conclusion to the plot. We’d expect there to be a decent amount of replay value here if you’re eager to see everything.
Assuming the quality of the writing can match the striking pixel art presentation, we reckon Japanese dev Unio Anou could very well be onto something here. Worth keeping an eye on, isn’t it?
