SNK’s excellent – and robustly supported – Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves will receive a “major update” on 24th April to celebrate its first anniversary.
All of the details will be outlined during a YouTube livestream on 23rd April, but we certainly wouldn’t rule out new modes and content given just how well this title has been supported. Balance improvements are also inevitable.
If that’s not enough, Season 2 DLC character Wolfgang Krauser will also release on 24th April, alongside his respective Arcade and Episodes from South Town single player storylines.
Here’s a little more about him, courtesy of a press release:
“Ruled the sinister underbelly of society as the Emperor of Darkness, until he fell in battle to the resilient fang of the Hungry Wolf—or so the rumors, spread by his own offspring, would have the public believe. Now, years later, the son of the sovereign has a fighting tournament of his own; for Krauser, whose ruthlessness has only grown with time, it is the perfect chance to strike. The stage is set – not a requiem for the fallen, but an overture to revenge.”
We already know Fist of the North Star’s Kenshiro will round out this season of content, but there’s actually another mysterious character scheduled to occupy the gap between Krauser and the aforementioned guest star.
We suspect that character will be revealed during the anniversary livestream next week.
In the meantime, you can check out footage of Krauser in the trailer embedded above.
As the final boss from Fatal Fury 2, this character’s been fairly well anticipated by fans, and it looks like his gameplay is going to live up to expectations.
