New gacha spin-off game The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin is not only a timed PS5 console exclusive, it’s also launching first on Sony’s system, ahead of its mobile counterpart.

Unsurprisingly, the game will take full advantage of the PlayStation format’s flourishes, as detailed in the brief trailer embedded below.

Among the advantages is support for all of the DualSense’s bells-and-whistles, including haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, and so on.

Here’s what the press release says:

“Designed to make players feel as though they are stepping directly into the world of Britannia, the video showcases responsive gameplay and controller feedback that bring combat and exploration to life. By demonstrating how the game utilizes PS5 features such as haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, the trailer continues to add excitement among console players ahead of the game’s launch.”

Sony will be banking on this game proving a hit alongside other major gachas already on its console, like Wuthering Waves and Zenless Zone Zero.

The competition is impressively strong, but from what we’ve played, Netmarble has put together a beautifully presented open world here.

We’re just curious to see if it’ll have the legs required to remain relevant over a long period of time, considering this is based on an existing – and completed – manga franchise.
