Beyond the excitement of Peni Parker joining the roster of Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, dev Arc System Works announced a new feature for the game that’s gone under the radar.
Obviously we know there will be “canon” squads in the game, like the newly announced Amazing Guardians.
But you’ll of course be free to mix and match characters as you please, and the game will generate a squad name depending on who you pick.
It seems like one word will be selected based on who your lead fighter is, so, in the case of the aforementioned Peni, it’ll start with ‘Sugoi’. Then it’ll generate a second word based on the remaining composition of your team.
The really neat thing about this is that your squad name will be read out by the announcer before battle. “Try out different combinations to discover cool, surprising, or just plain fun team names,” producer Takeshi Yamanaka revealed on the PS Blog.
It’s a small touch, but it shows just how much thought is going into the upcoming fighter.
