Two Far Cry Games, 'Several' Assassin's Creed Games in Development, Ubisoft Confirms 1

It sounds like Ubisoft is doubling down on its biggest franchises following its massive corporate restructure.

In an interview with Variety, CEO Yves Guillemot has revealed some of the publisher's plans for the future, and if you're a big fan of Assassin's Creed and Far Cry, it's good news.

Asked about Vantage Studios — its creative house focusing on the aforementioned series along with Rainbow Six — Guillemot tells of multiple games in the pipeline.

"Under the Assassin’s Creed brand, several titles are in development, spanning both single-player and multiplayer experiences, with the ambition to further grow a community that exceeded 30 million players last year," he says.

"On Far Cry, anticipation is high, and we currently have two very promising projects in development."

He also mentions Rainbow Six Mobile, which is due to launch on 23rd February, 2026.

"More broadly, with Vantage Studios established, we have early evidence that our new operating model better empowers our teams to be fully focused on their franchises, which, over time, will translate into both greater predictability in our pipeline and stronger engagement from our players."

Guillemot stops short of outlining exactly when we can expect all these AC and FC titles, but we have to assume he's talking about several years of games here.

We know about Assassin's Creed Hexe, but beyond that things begin to get a bit blurry.

As far as Far Cry is concerned, a pair of titles was rumoured just over a year ago, codenamed Blackbird and Maverick. Apparently, one is Far Cry 7, while the other is a survival/extraction shooter.

With a TV show also in the works, it seems the series is definitely on an upswing.
