It sounds like Ubisoft is doubling down on its biggest franchises following its massive corporate restructure.
In an interview with Variety, CEO Yves Guillemot has revealed some of the publisher's plans for the future, and if you're a big fan of Assassin's Creed and Far Cry, it's good news.
Asked about Vantage Studios — its creative house focusing on the aforementioned series along with Rainbow Six — Guillemot tells of multiple games in the pipeline.
"Under the Assassin’s Creed brand, several titles are in development, spanning both single-player and multiplayer experiences, with the ambition to further grow a community that exceeded 30 million players last year," he says.
"On Far Cry, anticipation is high, and we currently have two very promising projects in development."
He also mentions Rainbow Six Mobile, which is due to launch on 23rd February, 2026.
"More broadly, with Vantage Studios established, we have early evidence that our new operating model better empowers our teams to be fully focused on their franchises, which, over time, will translate into both greater predictability in our pipeline and stronger engagement from our players."
Guillemot stops short of outlining exactly when we can expect all these AC and FC titles, but we have to assume he's talking about several years of games here.
We know about Assassin's Creed Hexe, but beyond that things begin to get a bit blurry.
As far as Far Cry is concerned, a pair of titles was rumoured just over a year ago, codenamed Blackbird and Maverick. Apparently, one is Far Cry 7, while the other is a survival/extraction shooter.
With a TV show also in the works, it seems the series is definitely on an upswing.

How does that quote go again - "Quality over quantity" something like that.
I was thinking of another quote that went along the lines of "The definition of insanity is releasing the same franchise over and over again"
But you have his moron son in charge who has failed at everything he has touched. He likes AI and NFT. Assassins Creed will get worse. Probably be 4 hour games now.
Assassins creed aztec next surely, seems they are going through all the different regions and time lines and this is one they haven't done yet, that or South America.
Who cares, we’re still dealing with Bluepoint closing and Phil Spencer leaving. Read the room, Ubisoft! 😝
@Bizzy Ok your quote topped mine, well played
Couldn’t get into Far Cry 6 at all. They should go back to it being a weirdly detailed simulator again, Far Cry 2 is mental.
I know I get impatient but it is the one main reason why when on form PS and Nintendo make the best single play campaign games.
The team total focused on one game mainly and one device to make the game for.
I actually quite liked the last far cry. The world they created was amazing but they still need to make improvements in enemy ai. Dem is dumb yo!
Looking forward to all of it. Especially the hopeful return of AC multiplayer. I miss the days of Brotherhood and Revelations! Great, unique multiplayer mode they created there.
A remake of 2 would be nice.
And The Division stays dead, their best IP.
Great news. I'm a fan of both franchises and always look forward to the next one.
@Messiahbolical I really enjoyed Div 1 & 2, but their best IP? I can name three others with better games in the series than Div 1 or 2. Ghost Recon, Rainbow Six(pre-seige) and Splinter Cell 🙂
@Sheppard I feel like narratively it's their best modern day one. The story has aged well post-COVID so much to the point that the movie with Jake Gyllenhaal has been shelved. Ghost Recon lost me with Future Soldier but Rainbow Six would have been incredible if they had not cancelled Patriots. The tech in that demo was astounding, even though they peaked with Vegas 2 and Endwar.
What about a new Rayman, Child of Light, or Splinter Cell?
