PSVR2 fans, you'd best be sitting down: not only is there a new game to watch out for, it's coming very soon, and Sony's even promoting it on PS Blog. It hasn't forgotten the headset after all!
Rager is the name of the game, and it's a rhythm-action game cut from the same cloth as stuff like Beat Saber. It's heading to PSVR2 on 5th March, 2026, per the new gameplay trailer:
From developer Insane Prey and publisher Impact Inked, Rager has you fending off robotic enemies from all directions, and all their movements are synced up to the soundtrack.

You need to slash, dodge, and block them all to the beat, and through the game's campaign of levels and boss battles, you'll be given different weapons that all behave slightly differently.
For example, a large hammer has to be wielded with both hands, while the sword and mace are more about quick, precise strikes.
While the campaign locks you into certain weapons per level, a Freestyle mode allows you to pick and choose your preferred approach.
Rager runs at a native 90 frames-per-second, takes advantage of foveated rendering, and uses PSVR2's haptic feedback as well.
It all sounds pretty good to us, especially if you're a fan of other VR rhythm-based offerings like Pistol Whip and Synth Riders.

Looks like a nice replacement for Beat Sabre considering Best Games stopped supporting it for Sony VR last year.
Come on. Develop a resistance or killzone for psvr2 already. Geez. Imagine MAG or warhawk for psvr2, as well.
@VeganH M.A.G. would be epic on psvr2..warhawk? Stick that up your prison wallet.
This looks very cool and I'll definitely check it out. Just don't know if I'll do so on PSVR2 or Quest. PSVR2 will likely look much better. But if I get it on Quest, I'll still have it years from now when I have my Quest 4 or 5 while there will never be a PSVR3.
Lots of reasons “to keep your PSVR2” but, given this site’s ever incomplete list of upcoming releases, it’s clear they just don’t bother finding out about them.
@Alps_Stranger This is exactly how I feel. I love my PSVR2 but I tend to buy multi-platform games for my Quest 3 because of that same reason.
I've played Rager on Quest3, it's a lot of fun.
Excited for this! My favorite type of game to play on PSVR2 is a rhythm game
Delighted about this release. No so delighted with the article title. I thought Meta were basically pulling out of funding VR gaming for those commenting about Quest.? Only read a little bit about it so may have got the wrong end of the stick.
Are rhythm games the only thing VR can do?!?!?!
JESUS!
Ah well, good thing Grimlord is just a month away, Forefront(Battlefield VR!!) is getting a PSVR 2 release later this year, Unmourned VR was just announced, Flatout and Postal 2 are incoming, Automa, Adrian's Quest, Maid of Sker, Microsoft Flight Simulator '24, EXD, The Boys VR, Omega Pilot and dozens of other PSVR 2 games are still scheduled for '26 and beyond... I'll keep my headset for a while longer if you don't mind and this ***** rhythm game has nothing to do with that
