Do you remember Assassin's Creed Hexe? It was officially announced all the way back in 2022 alongside Assassin's Creed Shadows, and as far as we know, it's been in some form of development ever since.
However, VGC is now reporting that the project has lost its creative director, Clint Hocking. His departure is no doubt linked to Ubisoft's substantial rebuild, which has recently seen a total shakeup of Assassin's Creed leadership.
The report states that the production of Hexe will continue without Hocking, with Jean Guesdon — the property's new creative lead — taking over at the top.

To quickly recap, Guesdon was the creative director on both Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag and Assassin's Creed Origins, so you'd like to think that Hexe is in good hands.
Still, questions will of course be raised as to what this means for Hexe itself. It should be noted that we've seen nothing of the game up until this point, but again, it's been in the oven for at least a few years.
In any case, Hexe's an interesting prospect. Ubisoft has previously said that it's a different take on the series; it's supposedly a more linear experience that incorporates horror elements.
With this change in leadership, it could still be quite some time until we actually get a glimpse of Hexe. All we know for sure is that it hasn't been cancelled as part of the publisher's restructuring.
