Automation Open World Arknights: Endfield Plots Its PS5 Technical Test Prior to Xmas 1

A big new beta test for upcoming automation open world Arknights: Endfield will get underway on PC and mobile from 28th November, but it’ll continue on the PS5 from 12th December.

The test will include an estimated 50 to 60 hours of gameplay, in an unfinished work-in-progress format, ahead of the title’s release in early 2026. Any and all progress will be wiped once the servers close at an undetermined date.

Compared to previous betas, dev Mountain Countour has completely re-written the story from scratch. It’s also added new cut-scenes to support its revised narrative and an entire new region to explore.

For those who aren’t familiar with this game, it’s basically Genshin Impact crossed with Satisfactory. A big part of the game is building automation compounds capable of processing materials which can then be used to level up your characters. It looks complicated but fun.

Here’s how the press release describes the game:

“Set in the universe of the hit mobile game Arknights, Arknights: Endfield introduces a new immersive story and a frontier world filled with exploration, real-time combat, and base-building. Players will command teams of up to four operators, all of whom will be fighting along their side simultaneously, allowing for skill combos, elemental synergies, and other coordinated strategies.”

Sign ups for the beta have now closed and you can learn whether you were selected to participate on the game’s official website.

We’re hoping to get access courtesy of publisher Gryphline, so we should be able to share some impressions over the holiday period.
