LEVEL-5 boss Akihiro Hino has confirmed he’s already working on the successor to Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road, which launched late last year and is closing on one million sales already.
Speaking as part of a livestream earlier this week, as watched and translated by Gematsu, he pointed out he’s “already started writing” the scenario for a new game in the soccer RPG series.
He said:
“As a new Inazuma Eleven that begins in the Reiwa era, I will do my best to deliver surprise and excitement to everyone once again. Please look forward to future announcements.”

While Inazuma Eleven technically released during the Reiwa era, it was announced all the way back in 2016, during the Heisei era, and endured a long and difficult development cycle. So that appears to be what Hino is referring to here.
In other news, it’s already been confirmed that save progress from Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road will transition to the new game in some way, and the Japanese developer has reiterated that fact.
Of course, production on the new game sounds extremely early, so don’t expect it for several years yet.
