Publisher PQube and developer Playful Studios have announced a PS5 port of the adorable 3D platformer, New Super Lucky's Tale.
The game will launch for Sony's current console on 26th March 2026, with a physical release as well as the digital version.
This enhanced port of the jovial adventure includes new 4K visuals, 120 frames-per-second performance (on compatible displays), and DualSense support.
New Super Lucky's Tale originally released for PS4 in 2020, though the game's roots stem from Super Lucky's Tale, only released for PC and Xbox One in 2017.

We rather liked the game upon its PS4 debut, praising its breezy platforming and charming style. If you're in the market for a short but sweet platformer, the new PS5 version could well be worth checking out.

Loved this on Switch - I'll definitely be picking up a physical copy for PS5!
All the kids myself included did start playing this on game pass but it just didn't hold our attention
Fun game. They don't really make 'em like this very often anymore.
If it's a free upgrade from PS4 or even discounted I might. But if not it's not worth it for me
NEW New Super Lucky’s tail
They are really trying make this a thing… Why not port the VR game to PSVR2
I bought the PS4 version but haven't got around to playing it yet. Any upgrade path for existing owners?
Edit: Apparently, there will be $5 upgrade option for existing owners according to other reporting.
This is an awesome, and very underrated, 3D platformer. I might have to platinum this game again!
Will wait for it to be offered as a PS+ montly title, no rush.
Its funny to think that this was effectively the Xbox One X showcase game upon launch. Overall its a decent if unspectacular PS2 era style platformer, which I enjoyed but have no desire to play again
@Shinnok789 Yeah seems this would fit that mould quite well, as I want to play/try, but not pay (much) for it
This is why they really need to stop naming games like this, as well reboots/remakes with the exact same name like God of War, Ratchet and Clank and Doom. It just gets confusing. Game looks fun though.
I liked it a lot a few years ago. Might give this another go.
