Battlefield 6 players were expecting the start of Season 2 this month, with Season 1 seemingly wrapping things up in December.
However, it's now been announced that the timing for these seasonal updates has changed, meaning you'll have to wait a little longer for Season 2 to arrive.
It's now scheduled for 17th February; Battlefield Studios has said this extra time will allow the team to "further develop and refine Season 2 as a result of community feedback".
To make up for the delay, Season 1 is being extended, and will run until Season 2's new start date.

Starting 20th January, Season 1 will be updated, introducing new weekly challenges to the main game as well as REDSEC.
The Frostfire Bonus Path will begin on the 27th. This gives players the chance to unlock more free and premium cosmetics, including a Weapon Package and a Soldier Skin, and XP boosts.
There will also be a special Valentine's Day event coming to BF6, with new daily login rewards and double XP weekends all through the extended period.

I play pretty much every day and didn’t even realize we were in season 1 😂

Fingers crossed for some new maps 🤞🏼
Been enjoying BF6 as my go-to shooter. Looking forward to any improvement.
I love bf6, been having a blast with it.
