Do you want a flight stick to enhance your Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 experience on PS5?
One of the downsides to picking the game on Sony’s console right now as opposed to PC or even Xbox is that you only have one option when it comes to compatible flight sticks, although more are on the way. (More on that shortly.)
The good news is that the T.Flight Hotas 4 from Thrustmaster is a pretty affordable option, as it retails for $99.99, and you may be able to find it cheaper if you shop around.

Officially licensed by PlayStation, this is an entry level flight stick and a great choice if you’re just looking to dip your toes in the water for now.
The controller has plug-and-play support with MFS24, although obviously you can personalise the controls to your tastes using the in-game settings. It works on the PS5, PS4, and PC.
It comes with a joystick and throttle, as well as 12 buttons and a trigger.
One neat feature is that you can actually detach the throttle from the joystick, so you can adjust the distances between the two or perch one on your lap if you like.
Obviously, it supports MFS24 out of the box, but it’s also compatible with games like Ace Combat 7, War Thunder, and Star Wars Squadrons.
But if this isn’t the type of flight stick you’re looking for, series boss Jorg Neumann teased good news in an interview with XDA recently.
Asked whether there are more controllers in development for PlayStation, he pointed out that first and foremost Microsoft is committed to the series on Sony’s console.
He then added:
“We made the decision to go expand the user base, so there's quite a few controllers now in development for PlayStation. It'll take some amount of time. The number of people on Xbox that use specialised controllers has increased, and now with PlayStation, I expect it to go similarly.”
So, there you have it. For now, the T.Flight Hotas 4 is your only option on the PS5, but if you can hold out for a little longer, then more sticks will eventually be made available in the future.
We will say, while it’s not perfect, the gameplay does map decently to the DualSense, so you don’t need a flight stick.
But with PSVR2 support coming next year, owning the right peripherals is effectively going to guarantee the most immersive experience in the end.
