Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is adding its latest free SEGA character to the kart racing fun very soon indeed, and just in time for the holiday season.
NiGHTS, the main character of SEGA Saturn classic NiGHTS into Dreams, joins the fun on Christmas Eve — that's 24th December, 2025 for you fans of dates.
It's a fun release date for the character, as the series has a connection to the holiday thanks to Christmas NiGHTS Into Dreams.
Anyway, the character brings with them a new NiGHTS-themed vehicle and "special emotes and sounds", all free as part of CrossWorlds' next update.
This won't be the last SEGA character to join the roster, as AiAi and a duo of Sonic comic book characters are also coming soon.

I need to reinstall and play the Christmas Nights game again, it's perfectly in season for it.
They should have a Christmas NiGHTS skin.
Honestly more skins in general would be great. Sage and the Pac-Man ghosts are the only ones who have them.
Seeing this makes me wish that Sega would just commit to a full blown NiGHts single player extravaganza! Today’s tech would definitely lend itself well to an all in sequel to the original Saturn Version. The Wii version doesn’t count!! 😆
Christmas is the most logical date. It's the most fitting time to add Nights.
Wow that brings back memories, NIGHTS was one of the 6 games I owned on the Saturn, even though there were only 7 lol, jk. I think I had Virtual Fighter, Virtual Cop, Knights, Sega Rally, and Clockwork Knights I think it’s called, can’t remember the other one.
Would be neat to see a modern version of those games. Maybe that’s part of Sega’s “secret” we keep hearing about
