Fireproof Games, the British studio behind the acclaimed puzzle series The Room, is soon to release its latest title on PSVR2.
It's called Ghost Town, and it's set for release on Sony's virtual reality hardware on 1st December 2025:
You play as Edith Penrose, a witch who turns her talents to ghost hunting in this supernatural thriller.
You'll use her magical abilities to solve puzzles and track down clues to the whereabouts of her missing brother.
Here's the Steam version's launch trailer to put you in the mood:

The Room series is held in high regard, so there's every reason to be hopeful about this new title.
Ghost Town was very well received when it launched for PC VR formats earlier this year, so PSVR2 and puzzle fans should definitely take note.

Horror is clearly best played in VR. That much is obvious and without question. But it is also true of almost every genre, so please (please!) stop with all the horror games!
Been quite a few good titles come out this year considering. Pre ordered theif and ms flight simulator. Might have to try this.
@4fold I often find myself feeling a bit fed up with VR, as 80% of games are horror, 10% are puzzle games where you manipulate objects and put them in holes like those children's toys with the square, round and triangular blocks, and the other 10% are the rest (mostly dross tech demos).
I don't want to touch another VR horror or puzzle game again. I'm done with it.
No doubt horror is 1000x more intense in VR, but I actually find it exhaustingly intense. I'd rather play RE4 remake on my TV than in VR, even though I'd accept that the VR version is "better" on paper.
Oh and that Paradise Hotel game.....absolutely screw that game and screw the developers! Got about 90 minutes in and was done!
No surprise that I skipped Ghost Town on Quest 3 when it came out a while ago, and will probably skip it here too!
Off to play Pools VR this evening. That's about as intense as I can handle.
@Dogbreath
I can’t agree about Resi 4. It’s absolutely phenomenal in VR and I could never go back to playing any resident evil game externally again.
But yes, too many horror and puzzle games no doubt.
@4fold One genre I'd love to see in VR is JRPGs, but I fear they are too expensive to make compared to how many people would buy them.
@Perturbator
Flat to VR will one day be a thing on consoles I hope.
I've own this on Quest 3 and it's a brilliant game. It was already stunning to look at so I can't wait to see how much better it looks on PSVR2.
Ghost Town is not horror, it's not even spooky by my standards and I'm no horror fan in VR (Resident Evil Village is too much for me). I played it for about 2 hours on a VR PC and IMO it's awesome. Great atmosphere, tiny bit spooky, no jump scares (hate them).
@4fold I’m glad you said that. The immersive feeling is too much. Add the jump scares and I need a defibrillator on standby
@Dogbreath Not sure I relate, none of the games I played this year and have been released this year have been horror games or had baby toy puzzles.
I haven't played ghost town, so I do not know what this game really is about, but I doubt it is a "horror" game. I would assume it is a "spooky" or mysterious game.
I am very curious about Ghost Town. While I really liked The room VR: A Dark Matter. I hope ghost town has a more ambitious story and larger environments to explore.
@gaston I've seen play through footage and it is the same old baby puzzle game play, turning dials, plugging things in etc.
