It feels like the PS5 indie games Sony is nurturing through its China Hero Project and India Hero Project programs keep on getting better and better at this point, and Suri: The Seventh Note is the latest example of that.
Tathvamasi Studios is developing the game as part of the India Hero Project, and it has debuted a new gameplay trailer ahead of a 2026 launch on PS5 and PC. Suri: The Seventh Note is a "multi-sensory rhythm experience" where you move to the beat. The haptic feedback of the PS5 controller is said to be critical to bringing this mechanic to life, and it'll allow you to hear, see, and feel each beat of the music.

Set on the mystical island of Suri, the story follows Ajira, a brave young girl racing against time to save her mother’s life. Her only hope lies in finding a magical fruit that blooms deep within the heart of a land torn apart by a mysterious, corrupting rhythm.
According to a PlayStation Blog post, the developer has worked with Sony to perfect its Rhythm Haptic Engine for use in Suri. "We grew up playing on PlayStation consoles and they have a special place in our hearts. We’re excited to bring our own game to consoles that were integral to our childhood," said game director Glen Martin. "Working with PlayStation has been an incredible learning experience."
If you do like the look of Suri: The Seventh Note, it can be wishlisted now on the PS Store. Will you be doing so? Tell us in the comments below.

Giving me Castlevania/Silksong/Rayman vibes and I mean that in a good way. Some of the backgrounds look really. will keep an eye on this one.
I’m a sucker for these kind of platformers with really good artwork. I feel like a lot of cool games have come from this initiative so far!
Rhythm based gameplay built around the Dualsense definitely has potential. I'm keeping an eye on this.
Hmmm... should be right up my street, but something just isn't quite clicking for me. Maybe it's the rhythm based gameplay. But thanks for putting it on my radar.
People wrote what this game needs in youtube comments: Smoother animations.
As an artist, I think this looking a little rough. A few more round of polish could get this there though. BGs in particular are feeling very flat, but cool to see more 2d platformers!
This looks pretty cool. I'm glad Sony is doing all these heroes projects but I sure hope they do japan hero projects in the future as well
It looks okay at best. Gameplay looks rather boring.
Somehow this reminds me of Guacamelee. It looks interesting though.
@Pepsiman_100 Hero project is for indie devs from a country who didn't have enough experiences to make a video game. So i don't think Japan need a Hero project.
This looks like Strider/Turrican from back in the day on the C64/Amiga?
WOW! Now THAT is an impressive game!!!!!!!!
