The Game Awards 2025 has already broken records, as Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 takes the honour of being the most-nominated game in the show's history.
Among the 12 nominations across numerous categories is one for Charlie Cox, the actor who lent his voice to the role of Gustave, a pivotal and fan-favourite character in the RPG.
Speaking at a panel, it seems Cox is grateful for the recognition, but is quick to throw the credit to someone else.
He says he's "thrilled" to be nominated for Best Performance at the Game Awards, but stresses that his voice work for Gustave is only part of what brought the character to life.
"There's an amazing French actor by the name of Maxence Cazorla, who did almost all of the motion capture for that role in that game," Cox says. "Any nomination, or any credit I get, I really have to give to him, because I believe the performance of that character is really down to him, and my voice was just part of that."

Maxence Cazorla is behind the motion capture for not just Gustave, but also Verso and Renoir, and on top of that provided the voice for Esquie.
Here's a clip of Cazorla's motion capture work:
It's nice to see Cox recognise the work that went into the Gustave's physicality and animation as well as just the voice, because no character would be as beloved without everything working harmoniously.
The Game Awards are set to take place in a couple of weeks or so, where Expedition 33 will (probably) walk away with several trophies.
