It's another year, and because of the way Activision releases Call of Duty titles and their connection to the overall Call of Duty launcher, Black Ops 7 is another instalment classed as DLC without a Platinum Trophy on PS5.
Ever since Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 launched in 2022, every Call of Duty release has been made a DLC add-on to the game, meaning there's no Platinum Trophy to unlock. There is on PS4, however, due to the way the Call of Duty app is handled on PS5, there simply isn't one for current-gen players.
Modern Warfare 3 was taken out of the Call of Duty launcher in the summer, and this decoupling into a standalone game actually allowed it to be issued a very late Platinum Trophy on PS5. This gives some hope that Black Ops 6 and Black Ops 7 will receive the same treatment, but you'll have to wait a few years for it to potentially happen.
